Manhattan Mannequins

Like magical creatures that sparkle by day and mesmerize us by night, Manhattan has some of the most extraordinary mannequin displays found anywhere on earth. These mysterious and beautiful works of art provide New Yorkers with a magnificent form of street art, and help inject magic and mystery into one of the greatest cities on earth.

Themes of consumerism, commodification, alienation, sex and advertising, and the question of humanity's role in the modern urban setting are all on display; as these strange and wondrous creatures dazzle, are reborn, and come to life again.

Profoundly psychological, and often with surprising emotional and artistic depth, these mannequins breathe wonder and life into the urban landscape, and have become an inextricable part of the landscape of Manhattan.
